The Data Controller ensures compliance with all privacy regulations pursuant to the European General Data Protection Regulation no. 679/2016 (GDPR) and subsequent amendments.
Types of data processed
The data covered by this policy are all personal, identifying and non-sensitive data (by way of example but not limited to, name, surname, company name, address, telephone, email – hereinafter, “personal data” or also “data”) expressly provided by those who interact with the web services of this site, accessible electronically at www.barrierplanet.com (hereinafter, “Site”). The policy is provided only for this Site and not for other websites that may be consulted by the user via links.
Purposes of data processing
Personal data is processed for the following purposes (hereinafter, “Service Purposes”):
- to manage and provide the services offered through the Site;
- to allow the user to use the services expressly requested;
- to process a contact request generated by the Site (for example, replying to an email received, contacting the user by phone);
- to carry out communications relating to the conduct of the established relationship;
- to process the personal data provided by the user and those inferred from their navigation on the Site for the purpose of providing a service consistent with the use of the service itself;
- to collect, store and process navigation data to carry out statistical analysis in an anonymous and aggregated form;
- to fulfill obligations under the law, regulations, EU legislation or orders of an Authority;
- to prevent or detect fraudulent activity or abuse harmful to the Site;
- to exercise the rights of the Controller, for example, the right to exercise a right in judicial proceedings.
Furthermore, only with the prior, specific and separate consent of the user, personal data is processed for the following other purposes (hereinafter, “Other Purposes”):
- sending newsletters;
- sending emails regarding opinion and satisfaction surveys;
- sending emails with invitations to events or for registration for events in which the Controller is involved or which it organizes.
Place of data processing
Processing related to the web services of this Site takes place at the Controller's premises and at the web hosting datacenter where the Site is hosted. It is handled only by technical personnel in charge of processing, or by any persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations. No data derived from the web service is communicated or disseminated except in cases expressly provided for by law.
Processing methods
Personal data provided by users is used solely for the purpose of performing the services provided by the Site and only for the purposes indicated in the processing purposes; it is disclosed to third parties only if necessary for this purpose.
In addition to the data expressly provided, other data derived from the user's navigation on the Site may be recorded. For any access to the Site, we record the browser type, operating system, host and source URL, as well as data on the requested page. This data is used in an aggregated and anonymous form for statistical analysis on the use of the Site.
Personal data will be processed through the following operations: collection, recording, organization, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, cancellation and destruction of data. The processing will be carried out using electronic and/or automated and telematic tools with organizational and processing logic strictly related to the purposes themselves and, in any case, in such a way as to guarantee the security, integrity and confidentiality of the data in compliance with the organizational, physical and logical measures provided for by current provisions. The Controller will process personal data for the time necessary to fulfill the above purposes and, in any case, for no more than 10 years from the termination of the relationship for Service Purposes, and for no more than 2 years from the collection of data for Other Purposes.
Communication of data
Personal data and/or the results of the statistical analysis mentioned above may be communicated to:
- persons, companies or professional firms providing assistance and consultancy to the Controller in accounting, administrative, legal, tax and financial matters;
- subjects whose right to access the data is recognized by legal provisions or orders of the authorities;
- subjects delegated and/or appointed by the Controller to carry out activities related to the provision of the services present on this Site;
- third-party companies or other subjects (by way of example, website providers, cloud providers, e-payment service providers, suppliers, hardware and software maintenance technicians, shippers and carriers, credit institutions, professional firms, etc.) that perform outsourcing activities on behalf of the Controller, in their capacity as data processors.
The data subject's personal data will under no circumstances be disseminated.
The user is not obliged to provide the Controller with the data requested by the Site. Providing data to the Controller is optional; however, in case of refusal of consent for the aforementioned purposes, and in case of refusal of consent to the communication of data to the aforementioned subjects, we will be unable to provide the services requested by the user.
Rights of data subjects
Any natural person who uses our Site may:
- obtain from the Controller, at any time, information regarding the existence of their personal data, its origin, the purposes and methods of processing and, if present, obtain access to personal data and the information referred to in Article 15 of the GDPR;
- request the updating, rectification, integration, cancellation, limitation of data processing if one of the conditions provided for in Article 18 of the GDPR occurs, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of personal data processed in violation of the law, including data whose retention is not necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data were collected and/or subsequently processed;
- object, in whole or in part, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of data, even if relevant to the purpose of collection and the processing of personal data provided for the purposes of commercial information or sending advertising material or direct sales or for carrying out market research or commercial communication; each user also has the right to withdraw consent at any time without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given before the withdrawal;
- receive their personal data, provided knowingly and actively or through the use of the service, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to transmit them to another controller without hindrance;
- lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority in Italy.
At any time, the data subject may send any question or request regarding their personal data and compliance with privacy or exercise their rights by writing to the Controller via email.
Data provided voluntarily by users
The optional insertion of data in the forms on the Site (contact form, newsletter, etc.) as well as the optional, explicit and voluntary sending of data in web forms or emails to the addresses indicated on this Site, to obtain specific services and/or communications and information, involves the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, necessary to respond to requests or provide the services, communications and information requested, as well as any other personal data included.
This Site and the Controller's Services are not intended for minors under 18 years of age and the Controller does not intentionally collect personal information referring to minors. In the event that information on minors is inadvertently recorded, the Controller will delete it in a timely manner, at the user's request.
